The Local Action Committee

The Local Action Committee is an advisory body that supports Beit Sahour Municipality regardless of changes in municipal councils or its own membership, established by an official decision of the municipal council. The committee consists of members from the municipal council, employees of the Beit Sahour Municipality, and individuals representing the local community.

The Local Action Committee is considered one of the most important and active committees in the municipality, due to its close ties and constant communication with the local community, including individuals, governmental entities, and institutions.

Members of the LAC represent the local community, its individuals, institutions, and sectors. The committee aims, through its work and activities, to develop and enhance communication, interaction, and partnership between civil society and the municipality, bridging perspectives. Additionally, it provides proposals, recommendations, observations, and advice to the municipal council to improve service levels and enhance the quality of life for residents of Beit Sahour across all sectors.

Furthermore, the committee aims to strengthen and activate cooperation with the municipal council, supporting, enhancing, and monitoring all municipal projects.
