  • Beit Sahour Ladies Club was established in 1992 by an active group of women in the city and was registered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports as a non-governmental organization on December 9, 1995.
  • The General Assembly consists of 150 women of different ages and nine members of the administrative body who are elected every two years in the presence of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports
  • Objectives and activities of the club
  • Maintaining the mental and physical health of women aged 40 to 60 and developing their abilities to serve themselves and the community.
  • The club provides specialized female trainers for various sports activities, such as morning exercises, therapeutic exercises, aerobics, drum fit, ballet, table tennis, swimming, and yoga.
  • The club cooperates with civil society organizations within the country and international organizations abroad to participate in activities, workshops, and lectures, whether in person, via video conference, or by traveling abroad.
  • The club organizes cultural meetings on various topics, including: the importance of women’s role and position in municipalities and elections; the importance of sports and natural nutrition; psychological relief through self-understanding and self-confidence; psychological relief through drawing and colors; psychological relief and mental health and its relationship to crises; psychological differentiation related to gender-based violence.
  • The importance of herbal medicine.
  • First aid courses are held in cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent.
  • Meetings are held with male and female specialist doctors to discuss some gynecological diseases, such as cancer, menopause, and health care.
