An ambulance for the people of the city
On 22 September 2026, the Municipality signed an agreement to purchase an ambulance, launching an emergency ambulance service for the city’s residents.
The agreement was signed by Mayor Laith Hazim Qumsiyeh and representatives of Bethlehem Bible College and Gargour Trading Company.
The college, together with the Good Shepherd Society and the Friends of the Shepherds Foundation in the United States, is raising donations to cover the costs, while the Municipality secures customs and tax exemptions. The fundraising campaign is ongoing.
The total cost of buying the ambulance and fitting it with medical equipment is $130,000.
